The Greatest Movies To Watch With Dad This Father’s Day

We Bought a Zoo

We Bought a Zoo is a family/ drama film that tells the story of a young man who recently lost his wife. Benjamin Mee (played by Matt Damon) is a journalist who attempts to take on a new adventure when he buys a house with a zoo attached to it. He and his two children soon move in and their lives are instantly changed after they renovate the zoo and gift the community with something special. Single dads and widowers will especially be inspired by this fantastic movie. Be warned, it is quite a tear-jerker.

Mrs. Doubtfire

Possibly the oldest movie on this list but it will forever be a great classic! Divorcé Daniel Hillard, who is played by Robin Williams is given very limited personal time with his 3 young children. This is why he then comes up with a sneaky yet brilliant plan in order to see them as much as possible. Mrs. Doubtfire is one of Williams’ iconic roles, it’s certainly a hilarious but emotional story that shows just how far a father will go to be with his children.

Cheaper By The Dozen

Another favorite film of ours that stars the incredible Steve Martin. As the father of twelve children, he finds that his life has been turned upside down with all the stresses, responsibilities and day-to-day life struggles that he needs to deal with at the same time. This movie definitely gives viewers a glimpse into the lifestyle of a big and busy family. Cheaper By the Dozen is a film that will be loved by the entire family this Father’s Day!

Daddy’s Home

Daddy’s Home stars the amazing Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. The two compete to see who can be the better father, one being the tough biological dad while the other is the rowdy and silly step-dad. This comedy film really shows just what happens with blended families and the strong relationships that exist.  Let’s be real though: There’s no need to contend for the title of father of the year. It totally great to have two loving and caring dads!

Father Of The Bride

This is a definite must-watch for every father-daughter duo. Possibly one of the most beautiful, heartwarming films starring that stars the hilarious Steve Martin. He plays an overprotective dad who is having a difficult time letting go of his baby girl who all grown up and just about to get married. Coming to terms with this new chapter proves to be extremely challenging, especially with an overprotective dad. We highly recommend this amazing movie.
